The service is exceptional , with all the waiters providing excellent service every time and always providing what we ask for efficiently. There is a beautiful atmosphere and the restaurant is nicely lit and well furnished. The desserts are gorgeous and decadent . All round an amazing restaurant that I would recommend to everyone. ”
“ Not having visited for over a decade, I was excited to try Mela again. What can I say? It has instantly become my Indian restaurant of choice. Absolutely outstanding dining experience. Yes it is about the food, which was exquisite, but also the service and the "vibe". Vibe in a restaurant is something you can't quite put your finger on, you can't always explain why it is there, but it is. Like a noisy Italian restaurant has a "buzz", very similar. Mela has this in spades, which makes the place joyful. Mustn't forget the food. I chose to start with some chicken tikka. It was moist and delicious, with great attention to detail - the side salad was dressed and interesting and I finished it all as it was so good! My main was the Mela "Special" Massala with chicken, rich, creamy, quite sweet, and served in a lovely copper bucket, and was absolutely amazing. I will be back very soon. ”
